Royal Family are Targeted by Hacking Attack on Gulf Bank

Hackers have broken into Qatar’s biggest bank and posted online details of thousands of customers, including members of the country’s royal family and alleged British spies.

Security analysts suggested that the hack had most likely come from Iran or Syria, which have made constant cyberattacks on Qatar and nearby states to counter Arab support for rebel groups in the five-year Syrian conflict. Syrian hackers are believed to have carried out a cyberattack on a Qatari gas company in 2012 that destroyed systems and stole files.

The files published in the latest attack on the Qatar National Bank, including credit card.
